How to Apply for a Data Allocation at SDSC

SDSC provides data resources for researchers in the sciences, humanities, and arts. The application and approval process for data collections on disk and for database table space is managed by an NSF-sponsored national program using the Partnership Online Proposal System (POPS). User of TeraGrid or SDSC compute resources automatically have access to archival storage and do not need to apply for a data allocation.

To request an allocation for database table space, for disk space for collections, or for archival storage on tape, please select the appropriate description below.

Archival Storage on Tape:
I have a compute allocation at SDSC, and I wish to use Archival Storage (Tape).
I DO NOT have a compute allocation, and I wish to use Archival Storage (Tape) up to 25 TB (25,000 GB).
I DO NOT have a compute allocation, and I wish to use Archival Storage (Tape) greater than 25 TB (25,000 GB) and up to 100 TB (100,000 GB).
